MARGE DESIGN  is a new name in the local fashion community. The company was founded in 1990 in Montreal Canada by me, Rita Gruzman, self taught  fashion  designer and fiber artist. During the first three years the company had been  designing and manufacturing  hand made appliques and embellishments for  several leading Montreal women apparel brands - such as “Lace”, “French Connection”, “Jeremy D.”, “Conrad C.” and more.  Apart from unique “fabric sculpture” designs, the company offered jute, leather, shells and dyed lace hand made embellishments, as well as artistic hand beading on clothes.

In years, when I moved to Seattle WA, I renewed the company’s business activity - now designing and making wearable art clothing and accessories.

The new, Seattle collection - “I am a woman” is designed for artistically oriented people who use to visit art venues and go to music events, willing to be noticed and complimented. Radiant, still earthy colors, lightweight, soft, thoroughly picked fabrics, make these garments look homey and comfortable, though theatrically outstanding.
