MARGE DESIGN  was founded in 1990 in Montreal Canada by Rita Gruzman, fashion  designer and fiber artist. During the first years the company  had been  designing and manufacturing  hand made appliques and embellishments  for  several leading Montreal women apparel brands.

In years, Rita  renewed the company’s business activity - now designing and making eco-frienly, sustainable outfits - artwear and vintage redesigns.

2007 “I AM A WOMAN” collection is designed for artistically oriented women who use to visit art venues and go to music events, willing to be noticed and complimented. Radiant, still earthy colors, lightweight, soft, thoroughly picked fabrics, make these artwear look homey and comfortable, though theatrically outstanding.

2008 “ASSORTIE” collection was designed for younger people. This is pure green fashion - reconstructed and repurposed vintage pieces transformed into beautiful, fancy garments. I love mixing styles, combining different fabrics, textures, trimmings, decorations - making all my garments looking partyish, glamorous, reminiscent of far away places and times.

Now comes 2009 “LAVENDAR DREAMS” - for “rebel” prom girls, brides, bridesmaids. All of these  gowns are constructed from rescued (some never worn) vintage party dresses. And again ... one of the main ingredients of these creations is imagination... “GARDEN PARTY” is a collection of vintage redesigns and reconstructed  party dresses to dress up any bridal or theme party in eco-friendly, unique outfits. The 3d 2009  “CRIMSON BELLS ” collection is for Holiday season  cocktail dresses - funky, playful and... definitely mostly attractive.
